Wishing you great success at the show👍

These carbs belong to a truly special very, very, very early RHD ‘side latch’ #etype. Probably the earliest “undiscovered” car in existence, it’ll be breaking cover next month following an unbelievably detailed restoration, which we feel privileged to be a part of.

Thanks to @burlenltd for top quality parts as always 🏁

Classic Engine Workshop

MGA 1500 & 1600 rear oil seal upgrade, engineered by @classicengineworkshop now available. An ideal improvement to make when the engine is out of the car during restoration, this conversion stops the common crankshaft oil leaks suffered by these engines. On this particular engine we also upgraded the front felt seal to a later lip seal as fitted to the 1800cc engines. Come and talk to us about what you’d like to get out of your engine.

Classic Engine Workshop

Overwhelmingly bucolic, but sadly @classicengineworkshop wasn’t able to provide assistance despite the breakdown occurring directly outside; I had no idea what to do with the “hot eccentric” that caused the problem. Dramatic though - hot and noisy, like all of the best machines! Half an hour of cooling down and they were on their way again with a rush of steam and a blast of the whistle. Long may these sights and sounds continue to grace our landscape.
